    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the below.

    • Establish rapport with contracted clients with thorough and hospitable communication of all event details including: menu selections, food allergies and dietary notes, room setups, vendor details, audio visual needs, event and service timelines, and final billing
    • Create and update Banquet Event Orders; provide clear details to culinary and operations team to ensure client needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
    • Manage, maintain, and update event menus with chefs, including seasonal changes
    • Preview food labels and printed menus for each event
    • Create event floorplans based on client needs and operational considerations to ensure best event flow
    • Coordinate event deliveries (floral, entertainment, etc) and act as main event contact with outside vendors and operations team
    • For Apella events, assist with the coordination and communication of relevant details to Apella sales and operations departments

    Qualifications

    • Administrative experience with a background that has similar quality standards
    • F&B experience preferred with knowledge of food and wine
    • Self-starter and must have the desire to drive the business forward
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Organized and structured thinking for planning and execution purposes
    • Motivated, high level of energy and work ethic with an overall professional demeanor
    • An interest in keeping up to date with the industry trends and competitors
    • Dependable and reliable with clear thinking and attention to detail
    • Thrives on finding intriguing solutions to ambiguous problems
    • Professional presentation and ability to communicate with a diverse workforce
    • Solid knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of TripleSeat or Gather sales systems and All Seated
    • Ability to work flexible hours which may include holidays, weekends, and evenings
